Finally getting caught up on my review posts. Being sick is not the most fun, let me tell you.
Anyway, here's what I got!
This month's theme was Black Magic. Appropriate considering Hallowe'en at the end of the month. This artwork on this sweet bag comes from Valfre, and has the cutest little drawings on it.
The first product I got to try is TATCHA PURE One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil.
The website says : Come into bloom. Nutrient-rich camellia oil from the Goto Islands moisturizes as it removes makeup and cleanses. That’s what we call flower power. Ready for liftoff. Leaves no residue behind whatsoever. Rice bran oil hydrates and makes skin feel silky. Just say no to irritation. Mild enough for all skin types.
I'm not a big fan of cleansing oils as my skin has a tendency to get super oily. I also have super sensitive eyes, and this burned a little. Unfortunately this product isn't for me.
Next is the Ciaté LondonFierce Flicks Eyeliner.
The website says : The little black dress of liners. One sweep of this intensely dark shade is all you need to create a chic look. Easy to apply and goes with everything. Exacting standards. Precision felt tip makes drawing thin or winging out simple. It’s not going anywhere, thanks to the long-lasting and budge-proof formula. Keep it smooth. Glides on, even over eye shadows.
I have tried this one already from another sub. It really does stay where you put it, and lasts a super-long time!
Now we have VINTAGE by Jessica Liebeskind Brighten & Define Eye Shadow Palette in Vanilla/Espresso.
The website says : Black and white and pretty all over. Two matte shadows that really make our eyes pop. If we had to pack only one palette, this would be it. The softer side. Velvety texture glides onto lids. Add some sweetness. Creamy vanilla shade brightens. Double up on espresso. Deep brown-black creates the perfect lines.
Really smooth and velvety eye shadows, but the lack of colour really washed out my eyes. I consider my eyes my best feature, so this one isn't for me.
Next is Lovely Sarah Jessica Parker Fragrance Rollerball.
From the website : Every girl’s dream. Whether we’re feeling like a Carrie, a Miranda, a Samantha or a Charlotte—this silky white amber scent is just our type. Feminine and a bit fantastic. Goes from office hours to after hours. Top notes of mandarin, bergamot and rosewood set a dreamy tone. Patchouli, cedarwood, white amber and orchid release the sultry side.
I was very excited to try this one! To my dismay, removing the cap to smell it was enough to trigger my allergies.
Last but not least we have tre'StiQue Matte Lip Crayon in Belize Bordeaux.
The website says : Lips on lock. Creamy and lightweight formula glides on smoothly and leaves a long-lasting matte finish. Our go-to for a perfect pout. Super cute cap is made to stay put—so the color doesn’t dry out. Won’t emphasize lines or imperfections on lips (like many other crayons do). Belize Bordeaux is a deep wine that has us going back for another glass.
Can I just say, I LOVE lip crayons! This shade is almost exactly my natural lip colour - just a tiny bit darker. Lasted through eating and drinking. I love that I don't have to keep reapplying it all of the time!
So this month's bag wasn't the biggest win for me. It wasn't because of poor quality or anything, just one eye shadow colours that wash me out, and my own sensitivities for the rest. That bag is just the cutest though!
