IT'S NOT YOUR JOB TO LOVE ME, IT'S MINE.
Can you think of a better slogan for Cupid's month? We should always strive to love ourselves, and care for ourselves as much as we would anyone else. I remember being told that you cannot pour from an empty pitcher, so self-love makes us more able to love others, I would think. I'll be putting my travel makeup in this month's bag to put into my purse. That way I'll see the message every time I look into my purse. Not a bad reminder for us all.
To that end, the first product is the gorgeous Cupid's Arrow Powder Brush from Jelly Pong Pong. When I pulled this out of the bag, I may have squee'd like a teenaged girl. IT'S SO FLUFFY!!! I adore these brushes. The bristles are soft and luxurious feeling, and that contoured handle is actually quite comfortable in the hand. I have 2 of this brush line, and I'm thinking of using them as a display item in my vanity area because they're so pretty.
From So Susan we have the Cashmere Matte Long-Lasting Matte Lipstick in Chestnut. Normally I'm leery of brown shades on my lips, but their Cashmere Matte are so smooth and creamy that I had to try it. I wasn't disappointed, it is a very flattering shade! Most brown lipsticks end up looking orange on me but this one didn't. It's not sticky, it's long lasting, and smells divine.
Now we have the Angel Cake Divine Glow-Enhancing Palette from Trifle Cosmetics. Like all Trifle offerings it smells AMAZING! Then I looked at the palette and thought wtf? These colours look so bright, I couldn't see how I would ever wear them! Honestly, I think Lime Jelly might be saved for Hallowe'en, but Syrup Sponge, Bonbon, and Blueberry Muffin are so pretty on - I'll definitely be using them on those days when I just want to feel a bit "extra".
Last but not least, we have the Eye Smolder in Good Intentions from Jelly Pong Pong. I've been a member long enough that I have all three shades of this gel liner, but this one is my favourite by far! This smudge-able mauve liner is my new go-to liner. It just glides on, which is nice because I hate when eyeliner tugs on my eyelids - especially important with thin, aging skin.
If you're interested in your own So Susan Color Curate bag, feel free to click the link below. This month we got over $120 in products for $20.95 USD and $9.95 shipping (because I'm in Canada). I love the months when I'll use everything in my bag!
